It's no secret, that getting Google reviews really helps your business, not only in terms of ranking but also to guide potential customers during their buying process. But let's be honest, it's often not so easy to get those reviews from clients.
This is why we've compiled an easy to follow set of instructions we've created to help our own clients and you're free to copy for your own business.
There's one thing to clarify first. To ensure reviews are legitimate, Google requires reviewers to have a Google account - not to be confused with Gmail. You do not need to create a Gmail email account, you can simply create a Google account with your existing email.
How to leave a Google Review for [add Business Name and location]
If you have a Google account, please log in and click this link [Link this to your Google My Business link] and you'll be taken straight to our Google Listing. Next, jump to step 4.
If you don't have a Google/Gmail account, open Google in your browser or open the Google Maps app on your phone and search for [add your business' name and location].
Step 3. Write A Review
Once you have the business entry pulled up, scroll down until you find reviews. Click on the 'Write a review' button and a new window will open.
Step 4. Google reviews sign in
At this point, you will be prompted to sign. To continue without signing in, simply click on “create account”, and choose “for myself” or “for my business.”
Step 5. Use my current email
On the next page it will give you the option to “use my current email address” where you can add your own email rather than creating a new Gmail email. Follow the prompts to complete the fields until you get to leave the review.
Step 6. Leave a review
Give a star rating by clicking the number of stars you want to give and write a few words about your experience. We would love it if you could also share an image as this will give your review more weight with Google, so we highly recommend this step. All that's left is to publish your review and you're done!
